True peace of<br>mind comes from the knowledge that we are living<br>our lives as best we can, and the outcome is in the<br>hands of a Power greater than ourselves. For<br>centuries, people have reached this peaceful state<br>through prayer and meditation. This continues<br>today not only in prayer but in two types of<br>meditation techniques \u2013 mindfulness and<br>awareness. Mindfulness is about introspection and<br>control of the thought process while awareness is<br>about using the senses rather than thoughts and<br>feelings. Am I using meditation to find peace of<br>mind?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-68386e7c85fcf86bf017ff902a8df9dd\"><strong><br>Meditation brings balance. The body\u2019s response to<br>meditation lowers blood pressure, enhances<br>metabolism and heart rate. The soothing of our<br>mental processes &#8211; consciousness, memory and<br>perception, makes for wellbeing.
