There is<br>always another expectation placed upon you,<br>another person pulling you toward their<br>preferences, another nudge from society to act a<br>certain way. It\u2019s a daily battle to be yourself rather<br>than what the world wants you to be. Such a<br>fundamental issue as this \u2013 the way that we see<br>ourselves, requires constant attention especially for<br>those in recovery from addiction. But if we succeed,<br>our self-esteem will rise accordingly. Can I be<br>myself?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-cyan-bluish-gray-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-13f0eafa9148ef10ace24096dd0cd80b\"><strong>Remember the pressures that are put upon us \u2013 be<br>who you are, be true to yourself. You are not here to<br>live up to anyone else\u2019s expectations and if you try to<br>do so, it will probably bring unhappiness.
